Stock Control Officer

Role summary

We have a market leading retail division with over 720 shops generating annual gross income of £174m and net profit of £29m. We have big ambitions for our work and we have set ourselves the strategic goal of becoming a World Class Organisation by 2020. To achieve this we recognise the importance of finance providing great customer service, robust management reporting and analysis, strong performance management and effective financial control.

Working with the Stock Control Manager and wider team you will maintain our new goods stock records for our 720+ shops/stores.

Whilst the Retail directorate implements a new retail management system, you will need to be flexible to adapt to system changes in order to achieve company objectives.

About you

With experience of using a Stock Control related systems (e.g. Midas) you will ideally have experience in reconciliation, as well as previous experience of changing systems.

Working in a high volume multi-site retail environment the successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills and will work effectively with all levels of the business, ensuring key deadlines are met. You'll be adaptable able to adjust and change shifting priorities in the team and ensure that key deadlines are met.
