Stock Accounting Manager

Macildowie are delighted to partner a Â large organisation with exciting plans for the future to recruit a Stock Accounting Manager. the role will be based in their Milton Keynes head office and offers you the opportunity to Finance Business Partner across the organisation to improve control around stock.
The successful candidate will be a fully Qualified finance professional, ideally ACA, ACCA and possess strong technical accounting skills. You will have ideally worked within a fast paced environment and have good, relevant stock accounting experience. You need to be technically astute, possess strong communication skills, be comfortable managing a team as well as leading from the front
The key elements of the role that you will be able to support with include:
Delivering process excellence and expertise, period-end technical accounting for stock processes
Driving completion of accurate and representative financial statements
Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve Stock Accounting processes and outputs
Delivering appropriate financial control and technical knowledge to ensure the client Financial regulations, relevant accounting standards and are in line with Group accounting policies
Acting as a subject matter expert in the stock accounting area and lead team of direct reports
Ensuring all Stock Balance Sheets are reconciled on a periodic basis and all variances are investigated and explained
Ensuring accurate and quality data is available for weekly trading stock reporting and business protection reporting/investigations
Engaging effectively with Operational teams to identify any issues relating to stock, explain and make sensible recommendations for the business to manage stock more effectively
Delivering budgets and forecasts for Undelivered Sales and Stock to enable management to make decisions based upon the most up to date and accurate views of current and future performance.
Minimum requirements for the role include:
Qualified Finance Professional with proven experience at management level.
Possess technical accountancy background with relevant experience.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent IT skills with ability to quickly learn complex systems infrastructures.
Confident user of data mining techniques in Excel is desirable.
Ability to operate and influence effectively at a senior finance level.
Sound coaching, leadership and development skills.
Be assertive, challenging and confident with strong inter-personal skills.
