Steward - Testing Units
FIXED TERM FOR 3 MONTHS
Applications are invited from enthusiastic, innovative, motivated and suitably qualified individuals for the post of Band 2 Steward at SBUHB testing units, to support the flow of traffic and help provide a safe and secure testing facility. The roles will be based across the testing units in Swansea Bay University Health Board.
Several posts are available and may be on a full or part time basis, with hours to be agreed with the appointing manager in line with service delivery requirements. Please note that the service currently runs over 7 days per week.
The ability to pick up knowledge through training is essential. The candidate will be expected to develop a knowledge of the testing facility layout and be able to communicate effectively with members of the public. Experience of working as a steward would be desirable, but an enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn is also very important. The successful candidates will also need to develop an understanding of the roles of each of the other testing facility staff, and their areas of responsibility.
The successful individual will need to be a hard working, team player with good verbal and written communication skills. The applicant will be required to have a flexible approach towards the needs of the service.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and / or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
