I am Lynda Huard, Matron for Medicine at Horton Hospital, Banbury and I would love for you to come and work with us! We have a great team and are keen to welcome new colleagues to join us at the Horton, a small but vibrant acute hospital with a busy Emergency Department and Urgent Care Pathway within the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, serving the population of North Oxfordshire.
We have two medical wards, Juniper and Laburnum, caring for acutely unwell patients with complex medical and nursing needs. We also have Rowan Ambulatory Unit which provides ambulatory alternatives to admission by offering consultant-led, multi-disciplinary management of conditions equivalent an inpatient stay but allowing patients to go home overnight. It is open Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm.
I understand the pressures of balancing family and work and I would welcome the opportunity to talk to you about flexible working options. I am happy to be contacted by e-mail and can arrange an informal visit to the wards to meet our friendly team. We can offer you the benefits of the OUH education and career development with our own dedicated professional development team within the unit who can support you to create a bespoke career pathway. We have close links with our colleagues in EAU and the Emergency Department and can discuss rotation options with you if you’re keen.
The Horton Hospital is an integral part of Banbury and is well supported and appreciated by all in the community. Banbury is a prospering market town in North Oxfordshire benefitting from good transport links to North and South whilst retaining the charm of its Market Town heritage
