Staff Nurse ITU

Due to internal promotion an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic Intensive care team!!! Up to 197 hours per week available. Full time and part time hours

we are 6 bedded critical care facility based on the beautiful coast line of West Cumbria. We provide life saving treatments to adults of West Cumbria and stabilise paediatrics pre transfer to specialised areas of care.

Our dynamic, forward thinking team pride's itself on providing exceptionally high standards of clinical excellence and patient centred care.

The critical care environment is a fast changing environment, we are looking to recruit a highly self motivated, enthusiastic nurse, with a passion for delivering a very high standard of care and a eagerness to develop their critical care skills.

Our intensive care unit boasts' a critical care clinical educator who will alongside the successful candidate to support them on their journey to becoming a critical care nurse

The Trust will provide a twelve month preceptorship period for all newly registered healthcare professionals.

Healthcare Professionals returning to practice, moving into new roles or changing clinical environments, may access an agreed preceptorship period.

The Trust is committed to safeguarding adults and children therefore if the post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended) the successful candidate(s) will be subject to a criminal records check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The cost of the DBS must be met by the successful candidate(s) through salary deduction. DBS charges are as follows if applicable to the post:

Standard Check: £26 + Administration cost of £4.20 = deducted at £10.20 from 1st month salary and £10 deducted from salary over following 2 months.

Enhanced Check: £44 + administration cost of £4.20 = £15.20 deducted from 1st month salary and £11 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
