Staff Nurse - Hospice at Home
Location: Newport, Wales
Salary: £19.42 per hour £36,354.24 per annum + mileage and benefits
Hours: Nights Full Time and Part Time available, 9 Hour shifts
Time Recruitment are working exclusively with a charity operating in Wales, caring for over 3200 patients and families every year, working throughout, Monmouth, Caerphilly, Torfaen, Newport, Powys communities.
The Hospice provides person-centered hospice care for people facing a frightening, life-changing diagnosis.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Staff Nurse's to provide Hospice at home care; this role is ideal for Nurses looking to develop their knowledge in specialist palliative care.
The service is situated in Wales and is there for people aged 18 and over dying from conditions such as cancer and offer a specialist palliative care support service people with life-limiting conditions.
Our client is a local welsh charity and with the help several volunteers and dedicated staff and supporters, our client provided over 2.5 million hours of care last year. Care is provided in patient's homes and in a hospice setting at times and our client will do whatever they can to act as a safety net for their patients and their loved ones during the most difficult time of their lives.
You will be an NMC registered Staff Nurse ideally with post registration experience in palliative end of life care and an appropriate diploma level qualification, we will however, consider community staff nurses, district nurses. Clinical Nurse Specialist. More importantly though we would like to hear from dedicated nurses with sound clinical skills who are looking to develop their career with a recognised national charity and into palliative care. You will work on a 9 hour shift pattern with continued support throughout your shift from the Registered Manager and the Senior Nurse for Hospice at home. Part- time shift pattern of 18 hours per week, Full-time shift pattern of 36 hours per week on a nights basis only.
-Competent in managing syringe drivers and other specialist equipment
-Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to respond appropriately to the needs of the specialist palliative patient
-Full clean driving licence
-DBS, the post involves working with vulnerable adults and is subject to a Disclosure
