Staff Nurse - Child Health

Posted 16 September by NHS Business Services Authority

Experienced Band 5

This role is open to experienced band 5 nurses. We pride ourselves on having an environment where your development matters.

In Child health, we provide services to children, young people and their families in a variety of settings. These include acute inpatients, Ambulatory services, Neonatal care, and Learning Disability and Special School provision. We deliver these across 2 hospitals and community sites in Basingstoke and Winchester. Family centred care along with quality and safety are important to us.

We are looking for paediatric nurses who share those values and are prepared to commit themselves to our services. If this means you, then you will be joining likeminded staff who want to take forward the paediatric nursing vision with pride, passion and professionalism. In return, you will have the opportunity to gain a range of clinical experience whilst providing care to children and young people in a variety of settings. Additionally, successful candidates will benefit from developmental opportunities and other benefits provided by the organisation.

We currently have Band 5 vacancies available on our:

Acute Inpatients ward G2 – Basingstoke site

G2 ward area provides 24-hour acute care for up to 26 children and covers all specialties with High dependency / close observation beds. Children are admitted either electively or in an emergency. Ward staff work closely with our community children’s nurses to reduce the Childrens length of stay on the ward. The ward area provides short stay care for children undergoing elective day surgery.

If you are passionate about caring for children and their families then we would like to meet you.

Accommodation
Do you need to relocate to take up this role?
For candidates who need to move to the local area to take up this opportunity to work with us, the trust may provide single occupancy accommodation in Basingstoke for your first 3 months of joining.
This is to allow you to settle into your new role as well as the local area whilst making longer term accommodation arrangements.

Flexible working will be considered for all nursing applicants.

Your life outside HHFT is important and the trust is happy to consider applications with flexible working patterns that cater to individual requirements; this can be discussed at interview
