An exciting opportunity has arisen at Bishops Castle Community Hospital, for the appointment of a Staff Nurse with a special interest in the care of the elderly, rehabilitation and Palliative/End Of Life Care. 

We are looking for a dynamic nurse to join our well established multidisciplinary team, working in a rural setting, where, the hospital is at the heart of the local community. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of patients on our 12-bedded, Nurse-led unit.

You will support the Ward Manager and Ward Sisters, to support the day-to-day running of the ward, which will include ensuring shifts are adequately covered and delegating tasks to team members.

You will need to be committed to delivering high standards of care, being a role model to junior staff & Student Nurses. 

The successful candidate will need: experience of working within the NHS, which can include experience gained on practice placements, experience of working in a multi-disciplinary/multi-agency environments.

You will need to demonstrate a good level of verbal & written communication, as well as a level of IT literacy that will become a strong foundation for the use of electronic patient records.
