Senior Software Engineer

The opportunity:

I’m partnered with a highly disruptive medtech company leading a digital transformation in pathology as they leverage advance AI technology to aid oncological diagnosis. As the first company to develop clinical grade AI tools for pathologists, this company has received FDA breakthrough designation for their first product. They now seek a creative Senior Software Engineer to build software that will allow the team to upload data from hospitals and into the cloud.

Your task:

In this role you will develop software that monitors and integrates seamlessly with data bases, HL7 feeds, XML notifications and can access various file systems. You will be fundamental in building robust, scalable and interoperable applications and services that can ingest and transfer large amounts of data (include pathology imagery) outside of the hospital ecosystem.

In addition, you will build cloud services to support ingestion of images and associated metadata, and provide support for your product and applications by being the point of contact to hospital IT teams.

About you:

To be considered for this opportunity, you will have at least 5 years experience as an engineer having built software that is made to run continuously. You will possess strong proficiency in python with excellent knowledge of containerization (docker, Kubernetes).

Alongside this, you will have a deep understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices, with strong experience with AWS and Unix/Linux operating systems.

Ideally, you will also have an understanding of clinical workflows and prior experience with DICOM files/HL7 feeds for medical image data (nice to have, not a necessity).
