I am recruiting for a Manchester based client who is expanding its SQL team with a SQL Server Developer (lead into DBA level role). This role will be challenging whilst very rewarding, providing much opportunity for you to expand your experience and knowledge base. You will be working in a fast paced, ever moving organisation that is always keen to adopt and utilise new functionality and technology.
As SQL Developer, you will be involved with:
Data and Report Application Testing
Perform structured and systematic testing of both data and reporting applications prior to user testing. Guide and help the business users to plan, document and manage their testing processes to ensure appropriate and satisfactory applications testing is conducted prior to reporting systems implementation.
Reporting Writing / Building
Working closely with the business in order to understand all the data that the business holds and create sustainable reporting solutions, building self-sufficiency, as far as possible, in the business for their own reports. This role will take on the fulfillment of ad-hoc reporting requests building these into the reporting platform wherever possible.
Working closely with the business in order to understand the analysis, build, testing and implementation requirements for changes. Dependent on project and experience, various levels of roles and responsibility will be performed.
Provide support to the development dependent on project and experience. This will include design and structure of the data-warehouse, and the design and build of ETL routines to enhance reporting services across business areas.
