Are you looking for a new and varied role as a spray technician? Our client is a global packaging business your role as a spray technician initially will be to set up and then maintain the internal and external lacquer application process. To be successful at this role you will need to have a good understanding of the chemistry behind the products and you will be involved in other plants this will involve some European travel.

  • Salary - £29,400 per annum
  • Monday to Friday 8am – 4:30pm

The role & your responsibilities as a spray technician

  • Set up and maintain application systems to deliver high quality product
  • Understand lacquer types and application methods to identify improvements
  • Able to changeover line and make engineering improvements
  • Set engineering standards, ensuring that all Safety and Quality requirements are exceeded
  • Develop and deliver high quality engineering maintenance plans to drive performance improvements
  • Ensure Root Cause Analysis is carried out following equipment failure to eliminate recurrent issues on line
  • Implement and develop best practices for cost reduction and continuous improvement
  • Introduce LEAN tools to improve and standardise methods of working
  • Able to train team members

Experience & Qualifications required to be a spray technician:

  • Recognised engineering qualification
  • Previous experience in FMCG engineering department
  • Some knowledge of Chemistry preferred
