Our fast-growing client specialises in Business-to-Business Events across the world. This role is within one of their marketing brands specialising in Affiliate Marketing, an already big market that is set to become much bigger still. You’ll be joining their events team in London, an office that’s fun and friendly as well as hard-working, and you’ll also visit the US on a monthly basis as so many of the events are based there.
The main sales focus of this role is growing the revenue from sponsorship opportunities rather than selling stands at the conferences (though there may be some time spent selling stands). In addition to sponsorship, you’ll be looking for partnership agreements with large retailers.
Most of your work will be telephone based from our client’s London office. In addition, you’ll be travelling to the States regularly, meeting clients and prospective clients at the events you’ve been selling.

Sponsorship sales needs an intelligent approach, a consultative sales mindset, great questioning techniques and a genuine sense of curiosity about your clients. Only once you fully understand your clients’ worlds can you expect to advise them of the sponsorship opportunities that best suit their needs. You have probably already done a similar role within a sponsorship sales role or have evidence that you know how to sell in a professional and consultative fashion to a C-Level market.
In addition to that experience, you must be full of energy, vitality and positivity added to the resilience to maintain all of that when days are a bit tougher. As you’ll be submitting proposals to clients, your written skills must match your high level of verbal communication. Finally, you must be numerate, hard-working, well-organised and ambitious. On offer is a salary of up to £30,000pa with a commission structure plus a team bonus scheme giving on target earnings of £50,000pa.
