Job Description

Speech and Language Therapist

Band 6 Speech & Language required

Currently looking for a Speech and Language Therapy locum (Adult Neuro) starting as soon as possible.

They could pay band 7 NHS cap but to pay that we are looking for someone who can cover a busy dysphagia caseload of acute hospital wards and has competencies for assessing swallowing in tracheostomy patients. There may also be involvement in training nurses to screen swallowing so experience in this would be good.

Alternatively the position could be community dysphagia if the speech & language therapist had a car and preferred this type of caseload.

It would be full time (37.5 hrs per week) - initially we would be looking for 2 - 3 months but the contract may be extended to 6 months depending on circumstances.

The Speech & Language Therapist must have had significant experience in adult dysphagia so no one newly qualified would be considered.

Must be HCPC registered.

Cordant is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
