Tradewind is currently recruiting for an experienced Speech and Language Teaching Assistant who is looking for a long-term position in an outstanding school based in The London Borough of Southwark

The school are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work in a Reception Class who can commit until the end of the year December 2018. The school will only consider candidates that have Makaton and Pecs experience. You should have strong behaviour management skills, as there are some challenging children in this class. It is important to have good organisational skills and the ability to set clear, developmental learning targets for all pupils

This role involves working in a small group of children in Reception class. The school requires someone that will apply strategies to support with speech and language development. You will be responsible for, modify and adapt resources and learning materials for the pupil as agreed with the class teacher and other professionals. The school has excellent resources and great staff to assist during your initial introduction

There are accessible transport links to the school, and only a 20-minute walk into Central London

*Previous experience working with children with speech and language communication difficulties
*Educated to degree level or at least two years' experience working in a school
*You must have the right to work in the UK
