Seeking speech and language experienced teaching assistants to work across primary schools in the local area.
Your new school
You will be working as a specialist teaching assistant supporting pupils with poor speech and language development and communication delay within primary school settings. You will be working in a variety of primary school settings supporting pupils with additional needs.
Your new role
You will be providing support to children of different ages across primary schools in the local area. You will be working on a 1:1 and small group basis supporting pupils with speech and language development issues predominantly within Early Years and Key Stage 1.
What you'll need to succeed
You must have a natural passion for education and will have a keen interest to develop your career working with children who possess language difficulties. You will ideally hold a Level 3 qualification in supporting teaching and learning in schools or equivalent. Knowledge of using Makaton, WellComm or PECS would be beneficial but not essential. You will require experience of supporting children with SEN, especially speech and language and communication difficulties.
What you'll get in return
In return you will receive a competitive salary of between £60-£70 which will be paid on a weekly basis. You will also have the support of a dedicated Hays consultant who will be on hand to support you whilst working at this school and beyond as you look for your ideal role.
