Specialty Doctor in General Surgery

Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit a Specialty Doctor in General Surgery.

The successful candidate will:

  • become part of a dedicated and successful department of general surgery which has an excellent track record in clinical service delivery in both regional and national teaching and training.
  • provide acute general surgery services, on call in the surgical assessment unit and be responsible to the clinical director.
  • be encouraged to undertake elective surgery activity within the department depending on their area of interest.

All major specialties are represented in Bradford.

Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides acute services in the city of Bradford and surrounding areas and has two large hospitals, Bradford Royal Infirmary and St Luke’s Hospital. The successful candidate will partake in a 1 in 8 on call rota which is a full shift.

Applications should contain the names and address of three referees’ one of which should be your most recent employee. Full GMC registration is essential as is previous registrar experience in general surgery.
