This is an opportunity to join a dynamic and enthusiastic team who believe in leading from the frontline and aim to provide outstanding care.

We are a very friendly department seeing approximately 90,000 patients per year. These Specialty Doctor Posts will work within the current Emergency Department establishment. The team is supported by an excellent Middle Grade tier which provides 24 hour cover. The ED departments are blessed with an excellent and supportive nursing team and our friendly atmosphere is frequently commented upon by past junior doctors. These are new posts which will strengthen the ED team and delivery high quality care to our patients.

The post will enhance the amount of clinical input at a middle grade level to the Emergency Department and the care of patients with acute problems. The successful candidate will augment our clinician capacity, skill mix, share development, management, and administration responsibilities and facilitate teaching for all grades. The Trust would welcome any appointee able to enhance the overall development of emergency care across the Trust in partnership with other departments and/or specialties.

The final job plan arrangements will be agreed in partnership prior to appointment.  The Department is committed to increasing flexibility in working hours and extended-days may be considered to suit the needs of the Candidate and Trust. The trust supports applicants towards CESR and SPA time will be ring fenced for those applicants who wish to pursue. The SPA time allocated will be formalised in job plan discussions.
