Specialty Doctor Community Paediatrics

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB) is seeking a highly motivated and forward thinking individual to join a committed and enthusiastic team of professionals providing child health services across the area of CTMUHB.

Based at the Children's Centre, Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend, the post holder will be expected to take the lead for adoption and fostering.

The ideal candidate will have clinical experience in addressing the health needs of looked after children and, although not essential, experience of working as a medical adviser to an adoption and/or fostering agency would be an advantage.

The level of clinical responsibility and delegated duties given to the specialty doctor will depend on previous experience and training and this will be in agreement with clinical director.

It is expected that the post holder will have Adoption Medical Advisor as their main role but also undertake statutory health assessments of looked after children. Please see the attached job description for key duties and responsibilities of the adoption medical advisor role.
