Speciality Doctor / Associate Specialist in Substance Misuse

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Speciality doctor or Associate Specialist doctor to join Turning Point's Substance Misuse treatment clinical team in Suffolk.

You will join an experienced team of clinicians operating across the community delivering all substance misuse treatment interventions across Suffolk.

Either full time or part time applicants will be considered for this role.

You will run clinics in the community hubs where you initiate prescribing for opiate dependent service users and prescribing for alcohol detoxification. As part of the role you will provide support and some supervision to an experienced team of independent nurse prescribers who are part of the Clinical team.

You will receive regular structured supervision Consultant. You will be fully supported in the appraisal and revalidation structure. You will be able to access a well-developed monthly National CPD program and a local academic programme.

.As a Doctor, you'll enjoy working within our Clinical Team providing a wide range of health related interventions that promotes service users well-being and link in for opportunities for sustained recovery. Building on your experience of working with people with drug and/or alcohol problems, you will be encouraged to pursue and complete RCGP qualifications in substance misuse, RC Psych Membership examinations or comparable specialist training will be encouraged.
