Location: Rossendale, Lancashire
Salary: £90 - £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate or January 2026
Contract: Full-time, long-term

Tradewind Recruitment are working with a specialist SEN school in Rossendale seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and complex SEND.

• Provide personal care, mobility, and sensory support for pupils with physical and learning needs

• Work 1:1 or in small groups to promote independence, communication, and wellbeing

• Support therapy programmes and use communication aids such as Makaton or PECS

• Work collaboratively with teachers, healthcare staff, and therapists

• Experience in care, support work, or SEN education (PMLD or complex needs preferred)

• Compassionate, reliable, and resilient with a calm, nurturing approach

• Comfortable assisting with personal care and medical routines (training provided)

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
