Getting the balance right…. A breath of fresh air

Would you like to live and work in Argyll, an area on the West coast of Scotland of outstanding natural beauty? Would you like to swap the stresses of city living for a more relaxed lifestyle where you can really feel part of the community? We have a permanent part-time Band 6 contract, based at Mull and Iona Integrated Care Centre, Craignure, Isle of Mull.

Craignure is situated 21 miles from the main town of Tobermory, and is the main port on the island, with regular ferry crossings to Oban on the mainland. Mull boasts many cultural and sporting opportunities along with good restaurants, pubs and bars. Mull Theatre is a professional theatre company based in a new (2008) theatre production centre on the outskirts of Tobermory, and along with An Tobar ("The Well") are the islands centre for visual arts, crafts and music. Sporting activities on the island include the Tour of Mull closed road rally event; 2 golf courses; scuba diving; Mull cycling club; Mull rugby club; tennis courts in Tobermory; Mull running club and a swimming pool in Craignure.

The Isle of Mull is a popular destination for naturalists and photographers as it is one of the primary spots in the UK for seeing some of Britain's more elusive species. Although much of the coastline is quite rocky, there are a number of spectacular white shell-sand beaches all around the island. Mull has one high school situated in Tobermory, along with six primary schools. Argyll College, Academic partner to the University of the Highlands and Islands, offer further education and is based in both Tobermory and Fionnphort.

The positions include all aspects of plain film radiography and have a requirement for on call working to cover A&E. We are seeking dedicated, enthusiastic and well motivated radiographers with excellent clinical skills. We support CPD and role development and our ideal candidate would be someone who is committed to training and development and would welcome the opportunity to work independently whilst being part of a dynamic radiography team.
