THIS POST IS A FIXED TERM CONTRACT FOR 12 MONTHS TO COVER SERVICE NEEDS.

Cardiff and Vale UHB Eye Care Services are now in the third year of their strategic training programme in the delivery of shared care to its local population.

We are looking to employ eight Optometrists to work 1 day per week that have already obtained the College of Optometrists Higher Certificate in Glaucoma or above, Professional Certificate in Medical Retina or registered as a fully qualified Independent Prescriber.

You will be working as an integral member of the Consultants Team in the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.

You will be exposed to accessing the most modern imaging operational Hardware and Software Platform currently in NHS Wales.

This is currently a one year experience to support your personal development and fully utilise and develop the academic qualifications that you have achieved.

We are aiming to appoint two optometrists with the Higher Certificate in Glaucoma or above, two optometrists with the Professional Certificate in Medical Retina and two optometrists who are Independent Prescribers

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
