REED Education in East London are looking to recruit specialist one to one support for long term work in our local client schools. The roles we are currently working on are full time or 3 days a week, Monday - Friday.
The successful candidate will work as a part of a team within a class to support and assist the teacher in the daily management and education of pupils. Experience or a dedication to working with children with special educational needs is desirable as is the commitment to learn and apply new skills.
You will need to be resilient, ready for a challenge and be willing to go that extra mile for the pupils. Work may sometimes be carried out outside the main teaching area including off site locations. It would be an advantage to have experience in planning and leading parts of lessons within the classroom setting.
You will need to be experienced in supporting children with moderate learning difficulties, preferably KS1/2 age range on 1:1 Basis or small groups.
You will be required to work alongside the class teacher in providing support for the pupil in carrying out classroom activities following the national curriculum requirements. You will contribute overall to the classroom ethos, behaviour management and school community.
You will hold a min Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification and/ or Diploma in SEN and have recent experience of working within a mainstream SEN setting.

A face to face meeting is always required but we can visit more local to you, but we encourage you to come and meet us in our office next to Stratford station.
