There is an opportunity for someone passionate about safeguarding and protecting Adults and children to join the Bath and North Somerset (BaNES), Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW) CCG safeguarding team.
The post will focus on the BaNES communities and the role will include supporting general practice in primary care in their safeguarding training and activities with a clear focus on the safeguarding needs of Adults. The role will include working with all multi-agency partners to ensuring the voice of our local community both adults and children influence the safeguarding commissioning decisions across BSW CCG.
The role will also include quality assurance activities around safeguarding including reviewing how our local health providers are performing in their safeguarding duties. This will include any audit activity related to statutory inspections included Section 11 audits and joint Target area inspections.
This role will be reporting directly to the Designated Safeguarding Adult and children lead in the BaNES Locality of BSW CCG. They will also need to develop a relationship with the wider safeguarding teams and providers across BSW CCG.
There will be an opportunity to develop your knowledge skills and competences around the whole safeguarding agenda and supporting the health representation on the wider safeguarding partnership activity within BaNES.
The post holder will also need to develop a clear safeguarding adults and children’s training program with the Named safeguarding GPs in BaNES Locality. The post holder will Work in collaboration with the Named GPs to ensure the quality of the training supports learning from local and national safeguarding reviews.
There will be an opportunity to work on different safeguarding projects and work plans with scope to develop areas that support your passion, expertise and professional development around safeguarding.
The post holder will need excellent communication skills, be able to work in partnership with the Local Authorities, police and the third sector. They should have skills in audit and quality assurance. A good working knowledge on all aspects of Mental Capacity Assessments and have compassion for all our client groups. We want someone who can demonstrate skills in negotiation and integration, ensuring the safety of the individual is always the focus of any outcome and their voice is heard and responded to.
