PERMANENT POST

We are seeking a highly committed clinical nurse specialist in HIV and viral hepatitis to join the infectious diseases service in Worcestershire.

We have a well-developed ID service with 2 ID consultants, 2 GU consultants, a hepatologist, an ID registrar, 1 HIV CNS, 1 Hepatitis CNS, 1 HIV-hepatitis pharmacist, a dietician and a health care assistant.

We have busy cross county clinics within the Acute Trust on 3 sites and support educational work at the University of Worcester, where there is a flourishing nursing programme and foster close links with the community drug services and GPs. There is a very active prison programme in the county’s 2 prisons. There is also a local fibroscan service which the appointee would be trained to undertake. Occasional cross cover for our Hereford HIV CNS will be expected. We undertake regular MDTs and form part of regional networks.

This post comes at a particularly exciting time in both fields of hepatitis and HIV with huge opportunities to part of a dynamic team where patient care is taken very seriously.

If you feel you have the necessary skills and wish to be part of a friendly, professional team we would be glad to receive your application. Informal visits are welcomed.
