About the role
The purpose of this role is to provide a professional field engineering service and assure activities on customer strategic networks on behalf of Vodafone.
You will need to available for the provision of 24 x 7 x 365 for 1st line, assure activities and routine maintenance work for our key utilities suppliers. Be able to work Offshore (platforms and rigs) and worldwide as required. Provide 2nd line support for the delivery of networking equipment and products, providing on-site support to 1st and 3rd Line support teams in order to aid a speedy resolution and reduce the impact of failure during outages.
You will responsible for the installation, termination and testing of copper and fibre cabling within customer premises. Be able to manage risk and costs and ensuring all quality and health and safety requirements are met.
Contribute to the installation, commissioning and maintenance of customer’s CPE equipment and infrastructure. Achieve the service levels relating to delivery, and maintenance of both voice and data networks and associated equipment whilst ensuring maximum commercial advantage is passed through to the Business Units.
Key Skills and Experience
- Significant experience in a Field based role
- Experience on Cisco networking equipment and products including Wi-Fi
- Experience in the installation of Telephony and Networks equipment
- Experience of Cabling, Switching and Routing
- Ability to Fault find
- Strong Communication skills
- Good Microsoft skills including Word, Excel and Visio.
