Compass Associates are proud to be working with a highly thought of Care and Education provider for Children andYoung Adults with Complex needs. They have a new vacancy for an experienced SEN Teacher for theirSpecialist School based near Stoke.

The School

Providing Residential and Education placements for Children and Young Adults aged 6 - 19 with Complex Communication and Social Difficulties associating with Asperger's and Autism. Their attractive, spacious grounds set the perfect location for supportive development and learning for pupils with ASD, ASP and Complex Needs. The school has great facilities including a sensory room, outdoor activities and bespoke classrooms.

The Role

This is a newly created role as the school is going through an exciting period of growth. Working in small intimate classes, you will be expected to focus on each individuals strengths and developing their academic skills and self-confidence. Reporting directly into the Head of Education for the site you will work closely in ensuring each pupil is prepared for the best opportunities and experiences later in life.


** QTS or equivalent with 3 years experience within Specialist Education.

** A degree in SEN is desired but not essential

** KS2 to KS4, AS and GCSE experience

** Strong Autism and/or Asperger's knowledge and understanding

** Current Ofsted experience
