About the team:

The Lewisham secondary care Adult Mental Health (AMH) Community Service is composed of 5 neighbourhood Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT's), working with people aged 18-65. This service is currently transforming to become part of an overall service that interfaces smoothly with the primary care service, so that service users receive the right care at the right time. The CMHT's works with service users and carers by offering a range of interventions to facilitate social inclusion and recovery.

The CMHT's are based in two larger mental health centres (MHC): Speedwell MHC in Deptford, (north Lewisham) and Churchdown MHC in Downham (south Lewisham).

About the role:

We are looking for two Band 7 Clinical or Counselling Psychologists, one for Speedwell MHC and one for Churchdown MHC. There will be opportunities for indirect working and training with the team, and there may be opportunities for family work. In Lewisham CMHT's we position ourselves as a trauma informed psychology service. There is a Trust developing strategy to deliver trauma informed care (TiC).

Psychological input is valued and considered an integral part of the services on offer to service users and their families. There is also good interfaces with specialist psychology services for example, for EUPD/PD.

These posts would suit newly qualified psychologists or those with some experience, who are interested in working within an MDT and with experienced psychologists, with clients with diverse presentations, in order to consolidate knowledge and experience in AMH.

There are good links with other psychologists across Lewisham teams. Supervision is well supported, and there are opportunities to access CPD opportunities within the Trust.

Phone enquires prior to interview are welcomed and encouraged
