As a major division within the NHS National Services Scotland, the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) plays a vital role not only in the health of the people of Scotland but also on an international scale – through our leading position in new product development, biomedical research and donor services.  Our goal is to maintain the highest standards to patient care whilst remaining internationally competitive. 

Applications are invited for the above Permanent post from suitably qualified HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists demonstrating continual professional development. 

The post is based within the Patient Services Laboratories of the Transfusion Centre. These Laboratories provide a quality service in areas such as Reference Red Cell Serology and Blood Banking services to hospitals in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Disclosure Scotland check. Any candidate who has worked overseas for more than 3 months will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
