Exciting Opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work in LS8
Join us as a SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) at our Ofsted-rated Primary Academy school located in LS8. Starting in September. You'll work alongside dedicated educators, shaping the learning journey for all students.
We are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant with experience in 1:1 support. This role is also supporting the KS2 teaches. Familiarity with the national Key Stage Curriculum, an understanding of child development and learning, excellent communication skills, adaptability, empathy, and dedication to promoting equal opportunities are the key qualities we seek in a Teaching Assistant.
You will be supporting students aged 7 to 11 years (Key Stage 2)
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Ensuring student safety and facilitating access to learning activities.
- Contributing to education and behaviour plans.
- Encouraging inclusivity and embracing diversity.
- Setting high expectations for student achievement.
- Providing feedback on student progress.
- Upholding child protection policies.
- Assisting with supervision outside of class.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum GCSE English or Mathematics or equivalent or
Level 2 or Level 3 Support or Teaching Certifications.
- Previous experience in teaching support.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Right to work in the UK.
