This fantastic school based in North West London, near Wembley are looking to appoint to teacher of languages and a fixed term contract. The school already has an outstanding languages department who achieve results above 75% A-C at GSCE and a similar calibre at A Level. As such they are looking to continue this fantastic run of results by appointing a motivated, enthusiastic and forward thinking member of staff.
This school is heavily oversubscribed and one of the most popular in the borough.
They have flexibility to appoint a Spanish specialist who can offer one of the disciplines of French or German to Key Stage 3. The school have however stated that they are happy to appoint an outstanding Key Stage 3 & 4 practitioner and can offer the support to develop your abilities to take a language through to Key Stage 5. The current Head of department was promoted within and the school recognises success and can offer great career progression opportunities.
The School hold a fantastic reputation for developing NQTs and also are one a few schools a designated teacher training institutions, again demonstrating the strong practice within the school. They also have a demonstrable history of progressing teachers for those that are Career orientated and also for allowing you to deliver the subject in the way that you see best.
The school caters for students, Key Stages 3 - 5, across the ability range. Behaviour is not a huge issue at the school, a clear policy is on place and the emphasis is on teaching and pushing students forward rather than managing behaviour. The school still would like evidence that you are able to demonstrate the ability to manage students who have disruptive behaviour should this be presented.

As with all education appointments you will need a current CRB and recent references. QTS (or NQT) is a pre-requisite for this position and you will not be considered if you do not hold this.
It must be stressed that to be shortlisted for this position you must have a teaching qualification recognised in the UK and at least 6 months experience teaching the UK curriculum at Key Stages 3, 4 & 5 in a Secondary School
