I am looking for an experienced Sous Chef in Salcombe, near Kingsbridge to assist the Head Chef lead the team based in a beautiful boutique hotel over looking a gorgeous beach in Salcombe. It is a full-time, permanent role. You will receive a competitive salary of around £27,000.00 per annum.
The hotel has built up a great reputation in the area for great service, great food and a gorgeous location. The company is a small collection of inns and hotels across the South West.
As the Sous Chef, you will be responsible for the quality of the food and the output of the kitchen along with the mentoring and training of the junior chefs. You will also be responsible along with the head chef for maximizing guest satisfaction and menu development.
You will also be responsible along with the Head Chef for ensuring consistently high standards by adhering to the company specifications and procedures.
Ideally you will run a kitchen with flawless food hygiene standards and organisational systems that will ensure amazing food, a happy brigade and higher margins.
You will be an ambitious and enthusiastic Sous Chef with a real desire to progress.
The ideal Sous Chef must have multi rosette experience ideally in a hotel restaurant or a busy rosette kitchen, with at least a years’ experience as a Sous Chef in a rosette awarded kitchen.
You will be a chef that can formulate plans that move the restaurant forward, anticipate any potential hurdles and create action plans to overcome and or prevent them.
