Sous Chef, Essex Hotel, up to £25,000pa plus monthly service charge and yearly GP bonus

At Select Hospitality Chelmsford we are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Sous Chef.

The Role
To support and assist the Head Chef in ensuring the continuing development and delivery of the highest possible standard of food preparation and service at all times. As the Sous Chef you will be expected to deputise in the absence of the Head Chef to make sure that standards remain constant and the kitchen team remains focused on the job at hand. Experience within pastry would be advantageous as well as restaurant and function experience within a hotel setting.

* Deputising for the Head Chef in his absence.
* Lead a shift and supervising staff in the preparation and service of food, achieving the highest possible standards of service at all times.
* Work with the Head Chef to keep H&S records up to date and kitchen hygiene at the highest possible standards at all times.
* Provide on-the-job training for all Chefs in the Kitchen.

Salary and Benefits
*Great salary package of up to £25,000pa, plus service charge plus yearly GP bonus
*Working 5 days out of 7 with straight shifts where possible
*Meals on duty
