Sous Chef Grays up to 28K plus tips
This very well-established gastro pub is seeking a competent Sous Chef with flair, motivation and a real passion for food to strengthen the brigade and play a key role in the day to day running of the kitchen.
Serving outstanding seasonal food, the kitchen makes the most of the best fresh local produce available, this kitchen is always busy. Serving modern cuisine, everything is made in-house from scratch.
As Sous Chef you will be expected to work closely with the Head Chef to ensure that every aspect of the service runs smoothly, working on all sections of the kitchen, supervising and supporting other staff. You must be comfortable running the team when left in charge.
We are looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated professional chef with good all-round kitchen skills, attention to detail and a real passion for food. You will have some kitchen management experience with a "can do" attitude to work.
The ideal candidate will have several years’ experience as Sous Chef in a similar busy fresh food environment with appropriate professional qualifications and/or industry experience and a current food hygiene certificate.
Car Driver Essential due to location. The establishment is conveniently situated close to Orsett, Stanford le Hope and Tilbury.
