A Sous chef whom is ambitious would be ideally for this role as there is a pot entail to step up into the Head chef role within a few months, However as Sous chef you would cover the Head chef in their absence this includes but is not limited to ordering, stock control and knowledge as well as team and staff development.
Offering an excellent starting salary that will be reviewed in the first 6 months and then annually, this sous chef role will enable you to grow and develop but also to work with fresh ingredients, creating daily specials and working only straight shifts, unless you prefer to split your day.
This site is busy so as sous chef you will need to be prepared, be on top of mise en place, and also be able to cope with a busy kitchen in a calm and professional manner.
Sous chef experience:
-At least two years experience as Sous chef in a busy kitchen
-Experience on fresh food service and busy sites
-Knowledge of ordering, stock control and ability to run/support a kitchen
-At least one years experience of working a pass/ line/ grill.
Sous chef Requirements:
-Good starting salary
-Share of cash tips paid monthly
-2.5 days off weekly
-involvement of rotas and menu planning
-Opportunity to progress to Head chef
-Development and training
