Ready to run a kitchen??
We are looking top recruit a Sous Chef for a fresh food pub based in a village location based a just west of Theale in Berkshire. The business is privately owned and is current undergoing a full re-ferb, ready to open properly in June. With that in mind, we are looking to recruit a full-time Sous Chef to open the kitchen, taking on the Head Chef spot. The current owner wants to give a 2nd Chef the opportunity to run their first kitchen, maybe from a slightly larger operation.
You will have a lot of autonomy on the menu and will also be tasked with recruiting a building your team of 4. The idea for the menu is to focus on pub classics, executed very well with a modern twist, using fresh produce. They are looking to bring in diners from neighboring villages but don't want to alienate the locals either.
Working around 45 hours a week, we are looking for a Sous/Head Chef that really wants to take this new project under their wing and really develop the food offering, making a name for themselves.
We are looking for a Sous/Head Chef in Berkshire that is classically trained with flair and who can follow recipes.
