Sous Chef - Stansted Airport

Due to excellent performance at our new restaurant and bar at Stansted Airport we are looking to expand our team! We are recruiting two Sous Chefs with drive and ambition that can provide guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.
The successful candidate will oversee and organise kitchen stock and ingredients, keeping cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hours. You will recruit and train new kitchen employees to restaurant and kitchen standards. As well as managing food product ordering, all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards. You will coordinate with the restaurant management team on supply ordering, budget, and kitchen efficiency and staffing.
The successful candidate must have the following qualities:
*Previous experience of working in high volume food production units /restaurants as a qualified Chef
*Leading large teams with varying skill sets
*Great attention to detail with strong organisation & planning skills
*Coaching style with ability to delegate effectively
*Experience of setting and reviewing objectives with the team
*Experience of operational/financial procedures such as rotas, stock taking, ordering, audits
*Food Hygiene level 3 , Health & Safety Certification
Given that this is an airport operation with 24/7 trading hours, as with most hospitality/catering roles, flexibility to work shifts between these trading hours should also be a consideration when applying.
