**Sous Chef - Independent Hotel - Haywards Heath - up to £26,500pa**
We are currently looking for an exceptional Sous chef for this 51 bedroom hotel with functioning. Applicants at Chef de Partie level from a similar background will also be considered.
The ideal candidate will come from a similar background with exposure to a variety of cooking styles and a progressive work history, events experience would be advantageous. You will be joining an existing team across the ala carte restaurant and function suites; you will have excellent organisational skill and the ability to adapt under pressure. It will be down to you as Sous chef to develop junior members of staff whilst maintaining a high standard and efficient service.
You MUST ensure food and hygiene regulations are met as well as maintaining all HACCP and COSHH requirements. You will also be required to deputise for the Head Chef in their absence.
You will be the first point of contact for all members of the kitchen and back of house, will lead from the front, and be passionate about your role whilst being compassionate to colleagues.
The position is paying up to £26,500 per annum
You will be working 42.5 hours a week (overtime will be paid for additional hours) 5 days out of 7 with a mixture of straight and split shifts. 28 days holiday and contributory pension scheme.
