Sous Chef - Days

My client has recently opened a fantastic new visitors centre near Warminster just off the A303 and they are now looking to recruit a Sous Chef to join their business. The successful Chef will be the second in command in the Kitchen, reporting into the Kitchen manager / Head Chef and will play an important part in maintaining and enhancing visitor’s satisfactions.

The successful Sous Chef will be working 44 hours a week, working 5 out of 7 days – the site operates between 7am and 6pm. The site has up to 80 ‘covers’ in the restaurant and when the summer terrace is opened an additional 40.

Main Duties will include:
- Assisting the KM in the preparation and design of food menus
- Producing High quality meals, both in taste and design
- Ensuring kitchen standards are met
- Covering for the KM
- Managing and training kitchen staff
- Ordering supplies and stock
- Maintaining a positive and professional approach with colleagues and guests

Sous Chef Key skills:
- Previous Sous Chef experience
- Food Hygiene certification
- Kitchen and staff management experience
- Familiar with industry best practices
- Used to working in a busy kitchen
This role may suit a candidate that has previously worked as a junior chef or a Chef de Partie
