Sous Chef - upto £26,000 - Sensible Day Time Hours - Own Transport Required
Tired of excessive work hours and false promises of it getting better? Still want to work with a quality, high end, fresh food operation. Look no further! We are seeking a Sous chef to join this well respected contract caterer who have managed the catering retail offering for 5 years with a focus now on running the private events and weddings.
You will work in a small team of 3 chefs permanently with further support from the bank company chefs when the business requires. The operation is primarily day times only from 8am to 4pm. The focus for this role is to take responsibility for the running of corporate events and weddings, which initially is only 10 corporate and 10 weddings planned for this year due to the nature of the operation. Even here you will be concluding the kitchen operations by 8pm.
The main nature of the work is on retail so hot buffet counter, grab and go items and further cafe menu items. As the sous chef you will be expected to be competent in menu design and planning for the event operation, so it is important you are on trend and highly knowledgeable on cuisine. Weekends can be given off on a rotational basis, this is a genuinely great opportunity with good approachable people and great cultural environment. You will further benefit in your development with some of the clients bigger London operations and substantial network.
