The Company

Our client is a rustic Brassiere in the centre of a rural town Knowle. They serve great British classics with a contemporary twist; all is fresh and possibly even foraged by the Chefs themselves. The modern Restaurant can seat up to 50 people, as well as the additional 20 seats in the Bar area - there is also Alfresco dining for 20 people.

The establishment is open three evenings per week, as well as Friday - Sunday opening all day.

The Role

This is an exciting role and a chance to become part of an excellent couple run company. Our client is currently recruiting for a talented Sous Chef at this beautiful Brassiere. This role will suit a Junior Sous Chef who looking to step up or an experience Sous Chef who is passionate about providing a great quality food offering and working with a small team.

The successful candidate will be helping to manage the quirky kitchen when the Head Chef is on leave, create tasty menus and abide by all Health and Safety procedures. As well showing an awareness of industry trends and having a proven track record in delivering exceptional standards to grow sales.

Due to the nature of the role and the properties location, candidates for this role are required to have their own transport or live locally.

What We Are Looking For

Successful individuals will preferably possess / be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Someone with a big personality, a professional/fun person is needed to keep the team together.
  • Creative thinking - working with the Directors to look through what can be done to enhance sales and creating new dishes/menus.
  • A knowledge of Hampshire ingredients and seasonality
  • Previous experience as a Chef is fresh food Restaurants.
  • Excellent man management skills are essential.
