Sous Chef required based in Ascot.
Our client is one of the world's most recognised hotel groups is seeking a Sous Chef to join it's already established team at it's prestigious location in Ascot, Berkshire.
The main scope of the role is to support the Head Chef in the smooth running of of the restaurant, managing leading and motivating the kitchen team to provide consistently outstanding service.
Main duties: Act as a deputy to the Head Chef. Lead, co-ordinate and motivate the kitchen team. Produce and deliver quality food and enable operational excellence. Ensure food is produced to specification. Mentor, train and coach the team. Support administration (rotas, recruitment etc.), Daily ordering and purchase control alongside the Head Chef.
- Experience as a senior Chef
- Strong understanding of British cuisine
- Strong leadership skills
- Experience of ordering systems and costing process
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Due to location and timings applicants must have their own transport
- Fine Dining
