A Sous Chef role is available at a popular fresh food pub located in Derbyshire
The Head Chef of a popular pub that is part of a small, independent group is seeking a Sous Chef to join the kitchen team. The pub has a main menu, pizza menu (wood fired oven onsite) and a small plate menu allowing the property to offer high quality food in a relaxed dining environment making it a dining choice for locals and passing trade. In this role of Sous Chef you will second in command of the kitchen meaning that you will be required to run the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef but also assist them with the day to day running of the department and the management of the team of seven chefs working below you.
A stable background working at Sous Chef level in a busy, high quality, fresh food pub kitchen is required for this role. It is important that you can work well under pressure as well as having good kitchen management and team leadership skills.
