Sous Chef - 1 rosette, excellent reputation

I’m looking for an exceptional Sous chef for this 16th century country inn and restaurant. With 1 rosette the aim is to achieve 2 within the year, the restaurant enjoys an excellent reputation with locals and visitors alike and offers a seasonal menu using only the best fresh local produce. Reporting to the Head Chef you will be involved in the smooth running of the kitchen, championing company standards, values and procedures. You will work positively and productively with the Brigade and the Front of House team to ensure consistency of food quality and support the Head Chef to maintain a motivated and engaged brigade.

The ideal candidate will:

  • have good experience gained in a similar environment using fresh local produce
  • have passion for the industry
  • be hands on and lead from the front
  • be an inspirational and positive leader
  • strong health and hygiene background
  • work well under pressure and a be a good problem solver
  • be a good communicator
  • want to work as part of this talented and committed team
  • most importantly, have a good sense of humour
