A boutique style hotel located in Hampshire has a Sous Chef position available

Role:

Working with the hotel’s new Head Chef this is an exciting time for a Sous Chef to join the kitchen of a boutique hotel that offers its residents and non-residents high quality cooking with a busy dining operation at the property. The hotel offers all day dining with a number of options including a fine dining (two AA Rosette) restaurant which produces simple but elegant dishes which focus on making the most of the high quality ingredients used in each dish. The informal restaurant focuses on creating Brasserie style dishes with a focus on small plates; there is also an afternoon tea service; private dining is on offer and the venue is host to weddings throughout the year. As a result this is a varied Sous Chef role that will require you to cook to very high standards but also assist with controlling the busy kitchen operation and organising the team of seven chefs below you.

Requirements:

This role needs an experienced Sous Chef who has plenty of experience working at two AA Rosette level but is also confident working in a busy kitchen that serves a few different dining options. As the second in command of the kitchen you will also be required to carry out kitchen management duties and assist with the training of the junior chefs as the kitchen continues to push the cooking standards forward.
