A Sous Chef role is available at a fresh food restaurant located in Staffordshire
The Head Chef of a restaurant offering fresh, simple food as well as offering afternoon teas and catering for functions is seeking a Sous Chef who can supervise both production and service. This role of Sous Chef will require you to personally focus mainly on the creation and service of the afternoon teas although you will be required to assist in other areas including brunch and lunch service when needed. As a result you will be preparing scones, a variety of cakes, pavlovas etc for large numbers as the afternoon teas are very popular.
A Sous Chef who has a pastry background with plenty of previous afternoon tea experience who is also confident in the hot kitchen would be ideal for this role. As well as all round cooking skills it is also important that you have a good GP awareness, knowledge of health and safety in the kitchen and experience of supervising others.
