Your new role
As a Sourcing Specialist you will be part of the wider team in the UK consisting of sourcing professionals covering IT, Outsourcing & Offshoring, HR, Professional Services, Travel, Marketing, Market Data, Real Estate, FM and Brokerage spend categories as well as others. You will be part of a team responsible for providing clients with services such as market analysis, running market tenders, contract negotiations and contract drafting based on standard terms and conditions. You will also need to maintain market awareness for assigned categories and contribute to sourcing areas. You are likely to be working on a range of different projects, in both a client-facing and supplier-facing roles, working on both regional sourcing projects as well as global initiatives. The primary purpose of the function is to deliver value-add sourcing services to clients, in a structured, professional and consistent manner.
What you'll need to succeed
Our client requires a Sourcing Specialist that is an enthusiastic, client-focused individual with proven expertise in the different areas of the IT sourcing category. You will need to have a global awareness of the different markets for the provision of goods and services. The individual will ideally have experience in working with the main suppliers both in the UK and globally of IT outsourcing services (including software, IT hardware and IT infrastructure services). You will need to be confident in engaging with senior stakeholders, and be experienced in working as part of a cross-functional team to deliver complex large scale projects, as well as being able to independently complete smaller projects as the work covers a mix of both. Education to university standard or equivalent is desired, MCIPS is also desirable. Ability, to manage priorities often to tight deadlines. Experience in all types of software related engagements with knowledge and experience negotiating different software, license agreements, evaluation agreements and Software and Services agreements. You need to be a good team player, motivated and highly flexible with excellent communication skills.
