Solutions Engagement Consultant - South East and London UK

Position Summary:

The SEC (Solution Engagement Consultant) provides value to customers to gain, retain, and grow UPS’s business across functions (e.g., Supply Chain Solutions, Freight, Package, Contract Logistics, etc.), by demonstrating solutions to support improving the customer’s bottom line. He/She supports account owners in developing strategies and solutions that align with our customer’s objectives through a thorough understanding of Customer Solutions value added services. The SEC develops an understanding of customer’s supply chain, supports the implementation of projects and tries to overcome any logistical challenge the customer has by engaging the SOLDI department. The SEC positions the additional value of any solution as differentiator to the competition supporting profitable growth.

This role covers the South East and London Sales areaand therefore involves travelling, a Company car is provided. You must therefore have a valid driver’s licence. Due to the areas which this role covers the ideal candidate would be based around theLondon, Chelmsford, Cambridge, Southendareas.

Job Responsibilities:

·The SEC follows up on integration plans and participates in Business Development customer strategy sessions

·The individual will act a project manager during the implementation phase to ensure solutions meet and exceed customer and Sales expectations

·The individual works together with sales on middle market customer projects

·Evaluates customer objectives and business needs

·Formulates solutions and develops proposals

·Coordinates and project manages customer solution implementations

·Applies business and industry knowledge

·Applies knowledge of customer structure to sales solutions

·Applies service, product, and customer solutions knowledge

·Assesses business needs

·Conducts customer analysis.

Key Skills/ Experience:

  • A full, valid and clean UK driving license and a minimum of 2-years driving experience
  • Previous experience in a customer focused role
  • Excellent organizational skills,able to prioritise demands,and the ability to work effectivelyunder pressure
  • Have an analytical ability, good at problem solving, enjoys challenges, is tenacious and motivated
  • Good interpersonal skills andan excellent communicator,bothinoral and written communication
  • Active strategic participation and a confident presenter
  • Can work on own initiative and is a good team player
  • Friendly and enthusiastic attitude
  • Flexible working approach as overtime will be required.
