£60,000 + bonus + benefits

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Solutions Architect at a leading insurance company based in Milton Keynes.

As Solutions Architect you will be responsible for:

  • Technology selection and direction of software developments
  • Translating business and IT requirements in to architecture specifications and models
  • Building/maintaining application architecture deliverables, methodologies, technical standards and improvement plans
  • Interpret business needs and communicate technology solutions in layman terms to non technical stakeholders
  • Visualising solutions and developing a number of options from concept to implementation
  • Providing expertise and technology authority in the assessment of new business developments across the group

The ideal candidate for the Solutions Architect role will be/have:

  • Up to date with developments in technology and solution development
  • Expertise in a broad range of technologies including: service-oriented architecture (SOA), web development, infrastructure, networks, business intelligence, cloud technologies
  • Proven experience in dealing with outside suppliers
  • Significant design, development and testing experience
  • Experienced in the following technologies .Net Framework, ASP.Net / ASP.Net MVC, Javascript frameworks and libraries, WebApl / WCF, MS SQL Server Suite (SSDB, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS), iSeries Operations, Windows Networking, IIS 6-7.5
  • Working knowledge of code management applications
  • Strong communication, problem solving, analytical, organisational and administrative skills
