A rare opportunity has arisen for a Sole Gardener to manage a historic 7 acre private estate in Normandy, France. The vacancy comes with a 3 bedroom house and car. The garden is being extensively redesigned by a renowned British garden designer and will contain topiary, yew/hornbeam hedges, vegetable garden, rose garden, orchard, woodland, herbaceous borders, formal lawns and swimming pool. Applicants must have a good working knowledge of French and proven experience/knowledge of gardening on a private estate to a high standard. You must also be competent in using a range of garden machinery, able to prune, plant up areas, maintain lawns and undertake routine maintenance tasks. You will also be required to be the guardian of the property in the owner’s frequent absence. A full clean driving licence is required and spray/chainsaw certificates desirable.
